Data Retention Policy

We are committed to the security and privacy of your data. This policy describes how long GeoAI keeps your data and when it is removed.

Your files and results

• Imagery, annotations, trained models, model results and anything else you create in GeoAI are kept until you delete them with the delete actions in the app, or until your account is removed for inactivity (see below).

• You can access, change or delete your data at any time from within GeoAI.

App usage data

Information about how you use GeoAI is kept to analyse and improve the performance and user experience of the service.

Inactivity

• An account with no recorded activity for 11 months is marked as inactive, and GeoAI shows a banner with the date on which its data will be deleted.

• If the account stays inactive for one more month (12 months in total), all of its data and projects are permanently deleted. Deleted data cannot be recovered, but you can ask support to reactivate the account itself.

• These count as activity:

  • uploading imagery,

  • training an AI model,

  • completing a model inference (applying a model to imagery),

  • acquiring data from the Data Market.

• Other actions, such as creating an empty project or renaming a file, do not count as activity.
