Sentinel 3 atmospheric correction and chlorophyll content

This service applies on SENTINEL-3 OLCI level 1B images an atmospheric correction and extract chlorophyll percentage concentration over cloudfree water areas.

Running the processor

as inputs it requires:

  • one SEN3 OLCI Level-1B ERF acquisitions: it can be selected from the catalogue directly or from bookmarked and personal folders ,

  • an AOI (Area of Interest) : it can be drown directly or imported

Note: When selecting input data from the EDEN catalogue, the dataset name to use for retrieving the required product is SENTINEL-3. Ensure that the selected area is large enough to cover at least the footprint of a Sentinel-3 product. Additionally, applying a filter on the Product Type can help speed up the search process.

Output visualization

Once the pipeline execution is complete, the user can visualize the output products in the Monitor section of Insula Intellect.

The products are:

  • the chlorophyll percentage concentration map, in COG format visualizable in Insula Perception

  • the atmospheric corrected product, in netcdf format
