DESIDE Data Visualization and Analysis

This capability allows a wide variety of datasets to be visualized and analysed at different times and regions of interest.

1. A wide variety of data are available, grouped by topic:

• Icebergs,

• Sea Ice,

• Sea Water,

• Waves, and

• Wind.

For example, select “Ice Concentration”.

2. The left panel shows the legend for the dataset, and allows the date being visualized to be changed, and the opacity of the layer to be varied.

3. Use the “Select area on map” tool …

4. … to draw a Region of Interest for the analysis.

5. Choose a start and end date for the analysis.

6. Click on “Execute”.

7. A graph of the data statistics for the region over the time period is created in the lower right panel. Hovering over the graph shows the statistics for a specific time.
