DESIDE Climate Indicators

The DESIDE Climate Indicators provide an integrated dataset combining sea ice climate indicators based on observations (EUMETSAT Ocean and Sea Ice SAF) and climate model projections.

1. Select “Climate Indicators”

2. A graph of sea ice extent data over time is shown in the bottom right panel. Historical data from OSI SAF (https://osi-saf.eumetsat.int/) is shown in purple. Results from six climate models show different projections into the future.

3. Scroll down to select the model, climate assumptions, and season to show.

4. Click on the graph menu button (…) to save an image of the graph or to open the graph in the Vega Editor.

5. The Vega Editor provides a larger view of the graph and more capabilities for manipulation.

6. Click on “Fullscreen” in the top right.

7. Click and pull the corner of the graph to expand the size of the image. More information on the Vega Editor can be found at https://vega.github.io/vega/docs/
