We are delighted to announce the release of Earth Pulse, a new demonstrator now available on the DestinE Platform Learning Hub.
The demonstrators featured in the Learning Hub are interactive tools designed to showcase how the DestinE Platform can be used to explore, understand, and communicate climate-related challenges in an engaging and accessible way.
Earth Pulse, developed by ATOS, is a mobile-friendly digital card game that illustrates the capabilities of the DestinE Platform environment through play. By combining local climate, socio-economic, and satellite information, it demonstrates how complex datasets can be transformed into intuitive and engaging experiences for non-expert users.
The demonstrator leverages DestinE Platform services to access and process Climate Digital Twin data, Eurostat statistics, and Copernicus satellite imagery at NUTS-3 level, enabling the exploration of real-world datasets in a simplified, interactive format without any coding skills.
Game concept
Players can browse, compare, and customise location cards to build their own decks. Each card represents a specific location and includes real-world climate statistics. The goal is to select the right stat to outperform opponents and win all the cards.
Available game modes include a solo experience against an AI-powered opponent and a multiplayer option that allows up to four players to compete.
Designed as an entry point for new audiences, Earth Pulse helps raise awareness of the Destination Earth initiative beyond its traditional user community, making climate insights more accessible through a game-based approach.
