DEA new release live on 27 January
Discover the new features on DEA, the DestinE data visualisation and storytelling service.
What’s new in this release?
- Story Sharing: as from this new DEA release, all users registered on the DestinE Platform can share their stories with the community. For this reason, you must accept our Terms of Service for:
- Uploading assets
- Uploading images and video as story cover or slide background
- Saving Stories
- Moderation: the content uploaded by users will be checked by an external tool to improve the service reliability
- Climate Trends: Users can access new qualitative plots on temperature anomalies from the DEA Story Editor
- Slide Customization: through the DEA Story Editor, users can change:
- The text layout of a slide
- The slide and the story cover background, adding an image or a video from their local computer, from their own assets or from YouTube
- New animation features: from the Story Editor, users can enable the autoplay of the timeline to start the animation of the data automatically, set the timeline speed, enable the globe rotation, the story autoplay and the story loop.
- New data from external sources: you can now add in your stories Meteosat Third Generation, Meteosat Second Generation and Copernicus Sentinel-3 data from EUMETSAT WMS Service.
- Assets and Slide Preview: you can access the asset details, see a preview of your asset and have a look of the slides preview directly from the DEA Story Editor.
Deployment details
The new release will be deployed on 27 January, starting at 10:00 AM CET, with minimal service downtime of approximately 1 hour.
