SesamEO new release live on 19 June

The new release of the SesamEO service, implemented by partner GAEL Systems, introduces UNICEF as a new data provider and brings user-focused enhancements.

What’s new in this release?

UNICEF data provider
A new provider, UNICEF, has been added, offering access to the following datasets:

  • UNICEF_PARAGUAY
  • UNICEF_CAUSE_OF_DEATH
  • UNICEF_CHILD_POVERTY

These datasets are freely accessible and do not require user credentials or sign-in to view.
Other collections can be added dynamically depending on user requests.

GeoJSON selection file
For collections that support drawing an area of interest on the map (e.g., Sentinel-2), users can now also upload a GeoJSON file to define the area. This new option allows users to specify a custom area without drawing it on the map.

Deployment details
The deployment of SesamEO v1.2.1 is scheduled for 19 June 2025 from 14:30 to 15:30 CEST. During this window, the service will be temporarily unavailable.
