Please be informed that maintenance activities are planned to upgrade the Islet Cloud service at the Eumetsat bridge.
The upgrade is necessary to ensure continued platform stability, security and access to the latest OpenStack features and improvements.
Maintenance window
Start: 25 August 2026, 17:30 CEST
End: 26 August 2026, 06:00 CEST
Impact
During the maintenance window, services hosted at the Eumetsat Bridge will experience temporary unavailability. Access to cloud resources and related platform functionality will not be available until the upgrade is completed.
The following impacts are expected:
- All cloud resources at Eumetsat Bridge – including VMs, load balancers, routers and Kubernetes clusters) will be shut down
- Islet service at all other DEDL sites will remain unaffected
- HDA will remain operational, but requests routed to the Eumetsat Bridge may return errors or time out
- Remote Compute Kernels provided by the Stack service on the Eumetsat Bridge will not be available
- Users will not be able to spawn Dask clusters at the Eumetsat Bridge
- Active orders processed by the Hook service may take longer than usual or may not complete successfully if they depend on resources at the Eumetsat Bridge
- Users will not be able to create Islet projects at the Eumetsat Bridge through MyServices
The main periods of service unavailability are expected from 18:00 to 22:00 CEST on 25 August and from 00:00 to 02:30 CEST on 26 August. However, some services may be temporarily interrupted or unavailable throughout the full maintenance window.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Progress updates will be published on the DEDL Status page.
