RESOLVED – Temporary unavailability of Extremes DT data

Access to the LUMI supercomputer has been temporarily disabled due to urgent security mitigation activities, affecting the availability of the latest data.

UPDATE:

We are pleased to inform you that access to the LUMI supercomputer has been restored and the extremes-dt suite is now operational again.

The service is currently processing the backlog of missing dates. Outputs for 2026-07-07 and 2026-07-08 will be available shortly, while the 2026-07-09 run has not yet been completed but is expected to be available soon. We expect the 2026-07-10 processing to proceed as scheduled.

Please be advised that, as of the evening of 6 July, access to LUMI supercomputer has been temporarily disabled due to urgent security vulnerability mitigation activities.

As a result, Extremes DT data are currently unavailable and no new data will be accessible until the LUMI system is back online.

Impact

During this downtime:

  • the extremes-dt suite will not be able to run
  • no Extremes DT data beyond 6 July 2026 will be available
  • once access to LUMI is restored, daily runs will resume
  • any backfilling of missing dates will be provided where feasible
