The CONOPS Advanced Application Service (AAS), implemented by EDGE In Earth Observation, provides an early warning capability for assessing environmental conditions linked to mosquito-borne disease risk. By the fusion of Earth observation data, climate indicators and environmental modelling, the service generates spatial risk indicators that support monitoring and preparedness activities.
CONOPS utilises satellite observations and climate datasets with automated modelling workflows, including the MAMOTH and DVI models, to identify environmental conditions that may favour mosquito habitat suitability and disease transmission.
The service demonstrates how DestinE data and infrastructure can support climate-sensitive health applications, providing researchers and public health stakeholders with tools to better understand and monitor environmental drivers of mosquito-borne disease risk.
