We are pleased to announce a new release of the SesamEO® Service, implemented by partner GAEL Systems. This version introduces the following new features:
- New provider – Microsoft Planetary Computer: Users can access products from Microsoft Planetary Computer.
- Private provider: Users can request the configuration of a private provider, allowing access to the configured provider only for a specific group of users.
- STAC API: SesamEO products are now accessible via STAC API. Users can list collections and items, as well as perform filtered searches.
The other sources of satellite data already included in the SesamEO data portfolio are the following:
- Copernicus Sentinel Missions: Sentinel-1, Sentinel-1 RTC, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, Sentinel-5P, Sentinel-6
- Global Mosaics & Complementary Data: Sentinel-1 & 2 Global Mosaics, SMOS, Envisat MERIS, Terra/Aqua MODIS, S2GLC 2017, LiDAR
- Landsat Missions: Landsat-5, Landsat-7, Landsat-8 (ESA)
- Other Copernicus Data: Copernicus DEM (COP-DEM), Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM)
Deployment details
The new release will be deployed on 3 December 2025 at 9:00 AM CET, with an expected service downtime of approximately 2 hours.
