We would like to inform you that several security-related activities are currently underway to ensure the continued security and reliability of the DestinE Platform. As a result, some services may be temporarily unavailable.
Infrastructure maintenance
Our infrastructure provider is currently performing a global infrastructure maintenance activity. This operation may have an impact on some DestinE services.
You can find further information Here
We are continuously monitoring the platform and will provide further updates once the maintenance has been completed.
Further information is available on the infrastructure provider’s status page.
Insula service
Following the disclosure of a new critical Linux security vulnerability (CVE) on 9 July, an additional security patch is being prepared across the system.
As a precautionary measure, the Insula services have been temporarily suspended to mitigate any potential security risk while the necessary updates are implemented.
At present, there is no indication that the DestinE Platform has been compromised. This temporary suspension is a proactive measure to safeguard the security and integrity of the system.
LUMI / Extremes DT
Access to the LUMI compute nodes has also been temporarily restricted while additional security maintenance is carried out.
As a result, the extremes-dt suite will not run during this period, and no new Extremes DT data beyond 2026-07-09 will be available until LUMI becomes operational again.
Once access is restored, daily processing will resume, and missing dates will be backfilled where feasible.
For further information, please refer to the LUMI Status Page: LUMI Service Status – LUMI
We apologise for any inconvenience these activities may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore all services as quickly as possible.
