New impact-sector data from the Climate Change Adaptation Digital Twin (Climate DT) is now available through the DestinE Platform, providing information relevant to renewable energy, wildfires, hydrology and extreme precipitation.
Produced by applications integrated directly into the Climate DT workflow, the data combines kilometre-scale climate simulations with indicators tailored to specific climate-sensitive sectors and phenomena. The newly available datasets are derived from the latest generation of Climate DT simulations released in May 2026, including global multi-decadal simulations covering 1990–2050 and storyline simulations exploring how extreme weather events could evolve under different climate conditions.
The applications cover wind and solar energy indicators, fire-weather danger and localised fire spread, freshwater availability and hydrological conditions, and extreme precipitation events across Europe.
