We are pleased to announce a new update to NUPSI, the NUts Production Storage and Imagery service, introducing a range of enhancements aimed at improving usability, navigation and the overall user experience.
The release reflects our ongoing commitment to making Earth observation data more accessible, intuitive, and effective for users of all experience levels.
What’s new in this release?
This release focuses on making the interaction with Earth observation data more seamless and efficient, whether users are exploring satellite imagery, searching for datasets, or managing their analysis workflows.
A refreshed user interface brings improved visual consistency across the application, including updated fonts, colors, and layout elements that create a more coherent and intuitive experience. These refinements make it easier to navigate the service and focus on the information that matters most.
Several core functionalities have also been enhanced. The Products and Imagery sections have been streamlined to provide a clearer and more user-friendly workflow, helping users access and visualise satellite-derived information more efficiently.
The search functionality has been improved as well, enabling faster and more intuitive discovery of available data and products.
Users will also benefit from an updated Starred Results workflow, making it easier to save, organise, and revisit frequently used visualisations.
In addition, the GeoJSON upload process has been refined to simplify the definition of custom Areas of Interest and reduce the effort required to start a new analysis.
To further improve the user experience, NUPSI now temporarily pauses interactions while data and visualisations are loading. This prevents unintended actions during processing and provides a smoother, more predictable workflow throughout the application.
Deployment details
The new release will be deployed on 11 June, starting at 14:00 CEST, with minimal service downtime of about 2 hours.
