NUPSI new release live on 13 April

This new release introduces alignment with the latest NUTS classification, API enhancements, and user experience improvements.

NUPSI (NUts Production Storage and Imagery service), implemented by Alia Space Systems, is an interactive service designed to transform how users explore, visualise, and analyse Copernicus satellite data over Europe and beyond.

 

The new release 1.1.0 introduces a series of new features.

 

What’s new in this release?

 

  • Alignment to the latest NUTS classification
    NUTS2024 nomenclature is currently used for newly produced 2026 data, while 2025 data remain available under the NUTS2021 classification. NUTS2024 has also been extended to include Greenland and the United Kingdom.
  • Integration of SENTINEL-1C into data processing
    Sentinel-1 data processing now also includes contributions from Sentinel-1C.
  • API usage improvements
    NUPSI’s APIs for GeoTIFF generation have been improved.
  • Addition of a guided user tour at startup
    New users can now access an interactive tour to discover the main tools and features of the service.
  • Service and user interface performance improvements
    NUPSI 1.1.0 delivers improved performance and enhances the interactivity of some existing features, contributing to a smoother user experience.

 

 

Deployment details

 

The new release will be deployed on 13 April starting at 10:00 CEST, with minimal service downtime of approximately 2 hours.
