We are pleased to share that the Terms & Conditions for Destination Earth (DestinE) users granted upgraded access have been updated to include an important extension of the Upgraded Access Policy.
The DestinE User Access Policy allows users in specific categories to apply for upgraded access to the Destination Earth System. Once granted, they gain full use of all DestinE’s advanced features and services available on the DestinE Platform, enabling users to test, help improve and contribute to the system’s development.
The Terms & Conditions have now been revised, introducing a significant extension of eligibility for organisations across Europe.
Broader eligibility for the private sector
The upgraded access policy has been expanded to include the entire private sector across the EU and DEP Associated Countries, with a particular focus on SMEs and start-ups.
Under the revised Terms & Conditions, upgraded access is now available to:
- Private sector organisations, in particular SMEs and start-ups, based in EU Member States or Digital Europe Programme (DEP) Associated Countries, whose activities and intended usage align with DestinE and which are controlled, directly or indirectly, by legal entities or natural persons established within the Union.
- Private sector organisations, including SMEs and start-ups, based in third countries, may also be considered on a case-by-case basis if their activities align with DestinE and do not conflict with the Union’s strategic assets, interests, autonomy or security.
This extension greatly widens the opportunities for private sector actors to access the DestinE Platform’s advanced features, contribute to the ecosystem, and develop innovative solutions leveraging high-value environmental and climate data.
