The Insula – the Hub between Data and Decisions services, implemented by partner CGI, are User Workflows services that enable users to process complex information and integrate their own algorithms.
What’s new in this release?
Insula Code
- Three core libraries have been updated in the Jupyter Notebook environment: earthkit.plot, zarr, and destinepyauth.
- Polytope example notebooks are now aligned with the Insula branch of the upstream repository.
- Notebook kernels are now labelled to clearly distinguish between the standard environment (available by default via Conda) and the Polytope environment (via virtualenv with specific package versions).
Insula Processing
- Filtering for Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-5P (standard format) products is now working correctly.
- A separate issue preventing Sentinel-5 (cloud native format) data from being filtered has also been resolved.
- The product catalogue has been updated to its latest version.
- Processing logs are now available for all jobs. This long-awaited feature gives users direct visibility into what happens during execution, making it significantly easier to monitor progress, diagnose failures, and validate results.
