We are happy to announce the release of ClimateDT Evaluation Charts, a new service now available on the DestinE Platform.
ClimateDT Evaluation Charts offers a simple way to browse diagnostic figures produced from simulations of the Climate Change Adaptation Digital Twin (Climate DT).
The Climate DT is one of the two high-priority digital twins developed under Destination Earth. It produces global, multi-decadal, kilometre-scale climate projections using three Earth-system models: ICON, IFS-NEMO and IFS-FESOM. These simulations run on EuroHPC supercomputers. Its implementation is led by CSC, in partnership with climate institutions, supercomputing centres, national meteorological services, academia and industry, under contract to ECMWF.
The first release of ClimateDT Evaluation Charts includes diagnostics generated by the AQUA framework (Application for QUality Assessment). Users can select one or more experiments from the sidebar and filter the available figures by category, including Gregory Plots, Time Series, Seasonal Cycles, Performance Indices, Radiation, Bias Maps, Tropical Rainfall, Teleconnections, Ocean Time Series, Ocean Trends, Ocean Stratification/MLD, and Sea Ice. The exact set of figures available may vary depending on the selected model and experiment. Further evaluation sources are planned for future releases.
Please note that the service is restricted to users with DestinE Platform Upgraded Access.
