Ireland is home to an extraordinary diversity of habitats and species, from blanket bogs and ancient woodlands to coastal dunes and estuaries.
Dublin Bay is the world’s only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve to encompass substantial areas of a capital city, where urban life and rich natural ecosystems coexist in a uniquely dynamic environment.
Developed for Dublin City, this story highlights both the richness of Ireland’s natural heritage and the urgency of safeguarding it for future generations.
